Development and Action Plan

The plan is an important tool that helps the Academy focus is efforts on how to develop the school. It includes an outline of our priorities over the next three years to ensure high standards of learning and to develop all children’s talents.

The plan includes an outline of the Academy’s priorities for the next three years (2015-18) with this school year’s actions written in detail (2016/17). This structure allows for flexibility in the light of experience or changing circumstances.

Pupil Premium Spend Report for 2015 -2016

The pupil premium is additional funding for schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. The way that the Academy has spent the additional funds and the impact this has had on the childrens’ learning is outlined in the report that can be accessed by clicking on the link below.

Teaching and Learning

This committee oversees the teaching and learning at the Academy. The committee supports the Head Teacher in delivering the curriculum and ensuring that the children are making progress in their learning.

Conditions for Learning

This committee, along with the Head Teacher, ensures  an enabling, inclusive environment for all. One of the key functions of this committee is to oversee the safeguarding of all children, the provision for children with special educational needs, behaviour and the monitoring of school lunches.

Finance

The Finance committee help to set and monitor the school budget, ensuring the Academy gets the best value for money within its means and that everything we spend is for the benefit of our children.

Human Resources (HR) and Health and Safety (H&S)

This committee has two roles – to oversee the people who work at the Academy – teachers, support staff, kitchen staff etc. and to ensure the Health and Safety of all who learn and work at the Academy.
