What a start to the New Year it has been!
The school, now flourishing with 146 pupils, has come on leaps and bounds during last year.
It has been a pleasure during our first term to welcome so many new faces, as well as existing pupils, parents and staff to King’s Cross Academy for the second year of our school.
It has been particularly exciting to welcome in our new reception class, who join years one at the Academy and have settled in well.
Both the classrooms and the playground are a constant hub of activity, creating a wonderful an inspiring environment for children to learn and play. The new multi-use games area (Handyside Sports Pitch) unsurprisingly has proved to be particularly popular.
Inside the classroom and around King’s cross, the children have been busy with their learning projects and working with the incredible organisations and companies around us, from the train drivers at Eurostar to the engineers at Hoare Lea, all helping to enrich the children’s learning.
As summer is fast approaching we can now look forward to a busy and exciting few months ahead. In the lead up to Easter, we have an action packed schedule with the Academy continuing to grow from strength to strength.
I would like to thank you all again – pupils, parents and staff – for your continued efforts, achievements and aspiration, and I look forward to exciting times ahead.
Mr Emyr H Fairburn
